Gorey Town Park on course to be ready in May

During a report from the District Manager Michael Drea at the January meeting of Gorey Kilmuckridge Municipal District, councillors heard an update on the progress of Gorey Town Park.

'Works are progressing well in Gorey Town Park and the current date for substantial completion at present is early May,' he said.

At this stage, the pitch was full complete including draining works as well as demolition works and kerbing in the car parks.

The footpaths around the pitch are 70% complete, with drainage complete on half of the plaza.

A new water supply to the park is 75% complete with ducting for new ESB supply to building fully complete.

Drainage on the plaza is just over halfway there.

Councillors are due to be kept up to date regularly until the work is complete.
