Round Towers Lusk

Head coach of our first team Robert Naughton has just launched a Nutritional Plan for our adult footballers to assist them in their footballing endeavours for the coming season.

A healthy eating plan is of vital importance to support these lads through the rigours of their training schedule. As such we are delighted to announce we have teamed up with Howley's Butchers, who can provide you with a copy of the plan but who will also have an essential weekly pack available to you in order for you to follow the plan.

Please contact Padraig on 087-6812580 or 8430317 to find out more. This plan is also suitable for other teams from Minor level up.

The Ladies section will be hosting a Table Quiz on Friday 28th February in aid of our new senior ladies team. This team currently trains on Mondays (8.30-9.30pm) and Fridays (8-9pm) and will commence competition in April.

St Colmcilles

Due to the adverse weather only one adult training session was held over the past week - on Friday the lads had a strength and conditioning training session with Jonny Cooper.

Our first league game was to take place on Sunday against Naomh Barrog, but this was called of because pitches were unplayable.

Instead we had a friendly against Fingallians on their all-weather pitch. Four 15-minute quarters were played, all the lads got a good run out and it was a great game where we saw our strengths and weakness and what we need to improve on. Well done to all involved.

Training this week will be on Wednesday at 9pm indoors with Jonny and on Friday at 7pm outdoors with Patsy. Our next league game is scheduled for next Sunday away to St Pat's of Donabate (weather permitting)

Juvenile football continues every Saturday at 2pm. If you have yet to register your child, feel free to drop down to us any Saturday - all welcome. Or alternatively, you can drop into the clubhouse any day and leave your details, or leave a message on our Facebook page, Colmcilles Juveniles.

The winning number in the Juveniles Bonus Ball draw was 31 - a nice €60 for one lucky person. There is a sheet behind the bar in the clubhouse where, for €2, you predict the bonus ball in Saturday's main lotto draw, with a guaranteed winner of €60.

Last week's lotto numbers were (Draw 1) 6, 11, 17, 22 and (Draw 2) 7, 5, 18, 29. There were two winners of €100 in each draw and this will remain the case until one of the jackpots is won.

The jackpots this week are €10,000 and envelopes are available in the clubhouse, the Estuary Pub, the Harp Bar and the Pound Pub.

You can now play lotto on our club app - just text Cilles to 087-1962013. You can now view our lotto results on our website

Last Monday week the pool lads were at home to The Laurence of Ballyfermot. It was a great night of pool, with some super games, and the lads came out victors on a scoreline of 6-1. There is no pool fixture this week.

On Friday night last both of our darts teams were in action. Cilles were away to Topshop and the lads were victors on the night with a score line of 5-1. Well done. Colmcilles/O'Connor's were at home to Murray's where they were unfortunately beaten 5-1 following some great games of darts.

This Friday sees both teams in action again. Cilles are at home where they play Murray's and one point on the night would see Cilles take the Rush Town Darts League title once again C.O.T.C. Colmcilles/O'Connor's are away to Strand. Best of luck to both teams.
