LOCAL cricket development officer Reinhardt Strydom has confirmed that last summer's Fingal Girls Under-11 Tournament at Malahide will become an annual event after the great success of this year's blitz.

More than a hundred girls from clubs all over Leinster - including Malahide, Rush, Phoenix, YMCA, Pembroke, North County and Clontarf - showed off their talents, with YMCA beating Pembroke in the final. The tournament is seen as a great way to promote cricket for girls in the province and the organisers will like to thank the Fingal clubs, their members and coaches for their hard work during the summer.
