The large Lusk Fit-4-Life crew at Sunday’s Dublin Marathon

Athletics - Lusk AC: Sunday was another amazing day in the history of Lusk AC as 35 members lined up among the 20,000 entrants at the Dublin City Marathon. On a cold but beautiful sunny morning there was fantastic running by all including the club's first sub 3 hour marathon by Mo McDermott and Dwain Moore getting closer to the same holy grail.

Running a marathon isn't just about the 26.2miles on the day, It's a journey that begins many months earlier with seemingly endless long training runs completed in all four seasons, sometimes during the same run.

There are early nights, early mornings, aches and pains, foam rolling, apprehension and excitement. It all culminates with a day of celebration as the training, hardwork and sacrifices pay off. Lusk AC supporters could be seen and heard all over the course cheering on their friends and club mates.

This added to the great atmosphere and was no doubt appreciated by all. Congratulations to everyone who participated on another proud day for the club.
