‘Briggan win big in Cork and DCU

Balbriggan Taekwondo Flemington are starting 2019 with their heads held high after scooping no fewer than 30 medals in two recent tournaments.

Nine members competed at the Redking Rumble in Cork and 20 members challenged for honours at the Republic of Ireland Taekwondo Association Open Irish Championships in DCU sports centre.

Between the two events Balbriggan members contested 17 finals which has to be regarded as a remarkable achievement.

Academy coaches Paul Carroll and James Faulkner began a high-performance class based in Castlelands Community Centre lastSeptember and this session has grown in popularity and is definitely yielding results.
