O'Dwyer's helpers answering the call

O'Dwyer's are just one of the many GAA clubs around the county who have signed up to the Fingal County Council Covid-19 Community Response Forum.

Out of concern for vulnerable members of the Balbriggan community who require a helping hand during the lockdown, O'Dwyer's put out a call to its members and 32 of them have been on daily standby reacing to answer a call from somebody in need.

They have answered 50 callouts from people who needed assistance with groceries, prescriptions, garden maintenance and even just human contact, and the number to call for help is 085-1173361. The O'Dwyer's GAA Club co-ordinator is Paul Nixon and among their volunteers are Karen and Adam Heron, Daniel and Aoife Kenny, Donald Fraser, Niamh Kirby and Ciara and Janice O'Rourke.
