Lusk Junior team join celebrations

Rory Kerr

Round Towers Lusk's junior team completed a terrific weekend for the club with a terrific 3-8 to 2-7 win over Raheny in Sunday's Junior four All County final at St Margarets.

While Towers look comfortable at times they trailed by a point with a few minutes to go.

However Towers rallied in the closing stages with Darragh Kelly a massive pressnce in midfield while long time stalwarts Andy Moore and Greg Lews tagged on a few points near the end to secure the victory with Ryan Caul, Darragh Kelly and Luke Caul getting the goals for Stephen White's team.

Meanwhile in the Junior Five competition, A Skerries Harps side which featured seven minors secured their place in the decider with a 3-6 to 0-12 win away to Ballymun Kickhams.

Goals from 2017 county minor, Liam Woodcock and Liam Reddin had left them up by 2-4 to 0-5 at the break with Luke Harrison then grabbing their third in the second half.

In the same competition, O Dwyers put up a brave challenge in their clash away to Trinity Gaels in Drumnight.

The Balbriggan men trailed had trailed by eight points at the break but the introduction of Dermot Coyle just before the break made a huge difference for the visitors.

And although playing against the breeze and up the hill, second half goals from Coyle and Mikey Hughes (1-3) coupled with with a Sean Garvan point would see O Dwyers rally while Steven Crawley gave a towering display in midfield along with Johnny McGarry.

However, Trinity Gaels held on for the victory on a 1-12 to 2-4 scoreline.
