Remember Us well on the way to fitting out its dream home

Fingal's favourite special needs club, Remember Us is edging closer to achieving its dream of a purpose-built home with significant progress on its new headquarters fit out.

With a mammoth fundraising effort, the charity secured a property in Balbriggan but is continuing to fundraise for an expensive fit-out of that property to suit the special needs of club members.

Work is well under way on the fit-out now, according to charity founder, Nora Roban.

She told the Fingal Independent: 'Work is progressing and now we can see the formation of all our rooms. The handover date as of now is the end of September.'

There is an impressive suite of facillities developing at the club's Balbriggan base from recreational rooms, wheelchair accessible toilets, a lift and sports hall, a sensory room, a room for parents and of course, an office to keep the whole enterprise going.

Nora thanked everyone who had made this dream a reality from the charity's patrons to local businesses who rowed in behind it with support, grant providers and the local community.
