Fingal County Council has advised of upcoming temporary road closures and traffic diversions on the Rathbeale Road in Swords as part of the major upgrade project over the next 12 months which is likely to cause disruption in the area.

Fingal County Council is now informing residents and the local business community of the proposals as required under its statutory obligations.

The Rathbeale Road Upgrade Scheme is a major infrastructural development and will require a number temporary road closures and traffic diversions (including one-way stop/go systems) at various times.

An alternative route for traffic via a temporary link road to Castleview in both directions is planned. Local access for residents and businesses within the closure area will be maintained at all times. Pedestrians will use the footpaths provided along the vehicle diversion route. Footpaths within the Rathbeale Road Closure area will be closed.

Residents and local businesses should be aware of these works and associated traffic disruption over the coming months and should take note of diversions and plan their journeys accordingly.
