The completion of the Rush Wastewater Collection Network project is not just good news for Rush, it is to be welcomed by everyone on the coast of North County Dublin.

That is according to Cllr Darragh Butler (FF) who said the completion of the project to stop raw sewage flowing into the water off Rush, was 'great news for Rush and for the entire coastline of North County Dublin'.

He said: 'This project was long over-due but I am delighted it is now fully completed.'

The project included the construction of new infrastructure to collect and transfer wastewater to the wastewater treatment plant at Portrane. New pumping stations were constructed at South Shore, North Beach and East Shore.
