Mobile blood donor clinic in Balbriggan is a success
Some 260 donors attended last week's mobile blood clinic in Balbriggan, which helped restore supplies which had been badly hit by Storm Emma.
Clinics were cancelled as the storm lashed the country which prompted a call from the Irish Blood Transfusion Service to get out and help replenish stocks.
Held at Coláiste Ghlór na Mara, Balbriggan, figures show that some 5 first-time donors attended, while 36 former donors attended the clinic. A special thank was extended to local voluntary organiser, Kevin Blessing and the ICA Guild for their help and support prior to and during the holding of the clinic.
