Local gardaí issue appeal for help after youth and garda suffer injuries
GardaÍ in Swords and Ashbourne are appealing for witnesses to a public order incident in Ashbourne earlier this month.
On the evening of Friday, March 8, Gardai in Ashbourne observed a large group of teenagers get off a bus in the centre of the town.
The group were observed entering a multi-storey car park, where they approached a small group of local youths who immediately dispersed.
One local youth was allegedly assaulted before Gardai could intervene.
This youth and a Garda sustained minor injuries.
Gardaí made three arrests under the Public Order Act, it is understood.
Gardaí are now understood to have identified a number of other individuals who were allegedly involved in the incident and are in the process of interviewing them.
