THE famed local Power Drama School have been busy, in recent weeks with showcasing their wonderful talent across the local community.

The after-school drama class that the Power Drama School teaches at Lusk Educate Together produced a talented group of performers that took on the folk tale, 'The Dragon of Krakow' and performed it for a delighted audience at the Lusk Community Unit.

The school's Saturday groups have been in more festive mood, mounting a production of the Dickens classic, 'A Christmas Carol' at Lusk National School.

The production had a cast of 40 wonderful children between the ages of 6-15 and provided a magical night of drama, dance and singing.

Power Drama School were recently awarded second runner up in the Community Group of the Year Awards in the Arts, Culture and Heritage Category.

Last year, it performed eight free shows for the public, participated and performed in the Lusk St. Patrick's Day Parade, did free face-painting in the community, supported the Rainbow 13+ charity and St. Francis Hospice.

The school would like to thank all our sponsors for the show, our volunteer parents and all of our supporters.
