Burglary accused is sent for trial
A young man charged with burglary at a property in Balbriggan has been sent forward for trial by judge and jury to Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
John Connors (22) of Bremore Pastures in Balbriggan was served with a book of evidence when he appeared before Judge Dermot Dempsey at Balbriggan District Court. He has been charged with burglary at a property on Hamlet Square in the town on January 4.
Sergeant Darren Farrelly served the book of evidence. Judge Dempsey gave the accused the alibi caution warning him that if he intended to use an alibi in his defence, he must let the State know within 14 days. He informed the accused he was sending him forward for trial, on his existing High Court bail, to Dublin Circuit Criminal Court where he will make his next court appearance before Court 5 at the CCJ on May 31.
