Ardmac, the leading international construction specialist based in Swords Business Campus, Co Dublin, has picked up the 'Lean in Leadership' Award at the recent Lean Business Ireland Awards, which took place in Ireland's national stadium, Croke Park.

Developed by Enterprise Ireland's Lean Business Ireland, the awards are primarily designed to recognise and celebrate enterprise excellence achievements in Ireland. The event also provides a strong networking opportunity for companies to meet and share learnings with other continuous improvement teams.

Ardmac's award of 'Lean Organisational Leadership' was a recognition for the comprehensive and successful implementation of lean practices into its business, where it delivers complex high value workspaces and technical environments on behalf of its customers in the commercial fit out, life sciences and Data Centre sectors.

Commenting on his company's latest achievement in receiving this industry award, Ronan Quinn, CEO at Ardmac said: 'The key part of Ardmac's lean strategy is to allow us work safer, smarter and more efficiently. As a company we have really embraced the positive ethos of an ever-growing lean culture within Ardmac which supports one of our company's guiding principles of 'excellence as standard'.

'Receiving this 'Lean in Leadership' award from Lean Business Ireland is a great endorsement and recognition for the hard work and commitment that everybody in our business has put in.'

Jason Casey, Operations Manager at Ardmac and one of the company's key Lean Champions said: 'It has been great to see first-hand the real results that have been delivered to date from our rollout of lean practices. We now intend to build on this and ensure additional lean tools are implemented organisation wide in order to further improve on our lean journey.'

Earlier this year, Ardmac was awarded the Irish Construction Industry's Innovation in Construction Award for 2018, following its success in implementing lean across the business. Following these two industry awards, Ardmac is now establishing a real leadership position as a driver for lean within the construction industry in particular.

Ardmac is an international construction specialist that delivers complex high value workspaces and technical environments. Headquartered in Dublin with offices in Manchester, Craigavon and Brussels. Ardmac employs over 300 people and provides specialist construction services to the commercial fit out, life sciences and Data Centre sectors.

Ardmac's vision is to be the contractor of choice for clients, and the workplace of choice for great people, according to the Swords-based company.
