Trolley dash fun!

A Donabate family have enjoyed a dash around a Lidl store in Swords as part of a fundraising drive for Barretstown.

Rebecca, Mark and Karen Whelan (pictured) managed to grab €263.20 worth of goodies dashing around the store in just two minutes.

Tickets costing €1 were on sale in all Lidl stores during November and December and the Whelans were the lucky names pulled out in the Swords store.

Barretstown is a medically endorsed, residential camp for children and their families, affected by cancer and serious illnesses.

It is a magical place where children and their families are encouraged to reach beyond illness and discover joy, confidence and a new world of possibilities. They offer fun and challenging activities to children and are supported, behind the scenes, by 24 hour on-site medical and nursing care.
