In an effort to promote healthier lifestyles in Fingal, Gym Plus Swords has partnered with Ireland Active and the 'Let's #BeActive' programme to offer a fitness programme for those who want to get up and active for the summer.

Gym Plus Swords are looking to recruit 30-40 inactive adults in Fingal to join the free-of-charge programme, which takes place over a six week period beginning in July.

Supported for the second year by Gym Plus Swords, 'Let's #BeActive' is a structured six-week supervised exercise programme which aims to get 60,000 inactive adults across eight European countries to become active and lead healthier lives.

'#BEActive' participants at Gym Plus Swords will have access to the gym free of charge during the six week programme.

The group will have access to: the gym floor, the swimming pool, the wide variety of group classes available, as well as access to the Gym Plus expert trainers who will keep participants motivated and encouraged throughout the programme.

The '#BeActive' group will also be scheduled into group classes, where the trainers will take them through basic exercise and movements, and work on their progress over the six week period.

Speaking about the #BeActive programme, Eoin Kaar, Club Manager Gym Plus Swords said: 'We are delighted to be taking part in the #BeActive campaign for the second year in a row.

'Our team are very excited to meet and work with the new members on this hugely important initiative. Our hope is that at the end of the six week programme, we will have helped to motivate the participants into living a more healthy and active lifestyle.'
