Red carpet rolled out for St Sylvester's 'Night at the Oskars'

It was a night to remember for everyone associated with St Sylvester's GAA Cub in Malahide which held a wonderful 'Night at the Oskars' fundraiser.

Over 500 tickets were sold for the gala night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Northwood in Santry.

The red carpet was rolled out and guests enjoyed meeting the film stars on the night who put on some wonderful performances by the club members who were cast in the short films.

Judges included RTE's Dancing With The Stars MC Nicky Byrne

The night, which was sponsored by STRANDUM, an Irish-owned software development company specialising in HR systems and software, was a wonderful success.

All proceeds go towards the club's A Club For All Seasons 2020

The Malahide club has ambitious plans to further develop playing facilities in Broomfield to provide the best opportunity for players to realise their potential. The establishment of an all-weather pitch is the club's top priority under its 'a Club for All Seasons 2020 Development Plan'.

The club has already received phenomenal support, and have raised over €400,000 since June 2017.

Previous fundraising efforts at the Club has financed floodlights at the pitch which is already paying dividends for teams who can now schedule evening matches & training thanks to the well-lit pitch. The All-weather Pitch will allow year-round training and further scheduling of matches throughout the wet weather months.
