Portmarnock's Guide Dog branch holds AGM
The Portmarnock/Malahide Branch of Irish Guide Dogs (IGDs) held their AGM recently in the Sands Hotel.
The meeting was well attended with Cllr Anthony Lavin (Mayor of Fingal) and Cllr Brian McDonagh of Labour present.
IGD's was represented by Nick Palmer (Board Member of IGD's) and John Mitchell (Head of Development for IGD's). Guide Dog owner Tom O'Neill and long-time member of IGD's provided and introduction to IGD's.
Representing the Portmarnock/Malahide IGD team were Pauline and Michelle Comiskey Lambe, Rosie Keran, Joe Wrynne, Anna Giblin, Clodagh Murray and Frank Kelly. Photos were taken by Phillip O'Donnell.
Irish Guide Dog Day is Friday May 10 and the branch will be collecting outside Dunnes Stores Portmarnock.
On Saturday May 11, the branch will be collecting outside Avoca in Malahide Castle.
The Irish Guide Dogs will also exhibit at the Flavours of Fingal festival in June and the Malahide Has It Festival in July.
It promises to be a busy year ahead for the branch.
