No 'lollipop' for estates

Balbriggan/Swords Area council meeting

John Manning

The council has decided that the level of pedestrian traffic currently does not justify the placing of a new lollipop person at the entrance to Glen Ellan and Sandford Wood in Swords.

Cllr Duncan Smith (Lab) asked for a lollipop person there earlier in the year and the council committed to studying the traffic situation in the area.

Reporting on the findings of that study and said the survey was carried out in late May and found 'the volume of school going pedestrians crossing at this location did not necessitate a school warden crossing'.
