Mamma Mia! What a night

Fergal Maddock

Mamma Mia! It was quite the night at Swords Castle for an important fundraiser for a local group that works so hard to make a contribution to society.

Swords Lions Club's music night at Swords Castle, featuring AbbaEsque followed by DJ Good Vibrations, was a roaring success.

The sold out event was a wonderful night of music and dancing and the Lions Clubs has extended to Fingal County Council and to Paul Barnes and his team from the Events section for their support.

Swords and District Lions Club is a community service organisation dedicated to provide practical help where and when it is needed in our community.

Founded in 1985, it is one of 115 clubs in the whole of Ireland comprising approximately 2800 people, and our current membership is 17 people.

Swords and District Lions Club have offered ordinary local people the opportunity to give something back to their community.

Generally, this is done through fundraising to provide for those in need and also to support local, national and international initiatives and projects.
