Malahide Horticultural Society are in bloom

Malahide Horticultural Society hosted a blooming great show recently in the shape of its annual Summer Show.

The event was held at the St Andrew's Parish Centre in Malahide which was decked out with flowers, plants and vegetables of all shapes, sizes and colours as members of the society competed for the coveted prizes on offer at the annual Summer Show.

The displays included cut flowers, sweet pea, vegetables, fruit, potted plants,ccokery/home produce, home industries/art & crafts along with a juvenile section for the younger green-fingered members of the society.

This year the show was squeezed into a single day and there was lots to see and enjoy at the various stalls in the parish centre, providing competition for the members and inspiration for all those who went along to see the show.

Well done to the society for putting on another great show and no doubt, members will already be putting plans in place to make sure theire plants are in the running for prizes again next year.
