Maggies kids love the Dubs

You could have been forgiven for thinking it was an underage Dublin team being put through their paces at St Margaret's GAA club recently, such was the prominence of Dubs shirts at the club's latest summer camp for kids.

Dubs fever had clearly taken hold in St Margaret's as evidenced in many of the pictures taken by the Fingal Independent at the camp that show the St Margaret's children showing their support for the triumphant Dubs.

Who know? One day some of these young players might get to wear that famous jersey themselves but in the meantime, they will definitely get to don the equally famous jersey's of St Margaret's and the future of the local club is in safe hands it seems, as the local children got involved in the camp which great enthusiasm and more than a little skill.

Helping to put them through their paces and develop the skills of the game were volunteer mentors and coaches from the club who were no doubt, impressed with what they saw.

There was a good turnout for the recent football camp and by the smiles on some of these faces, it is evident that everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly.

Camps like these are important to clubs like St Margaret's in spreading the love of the game to a new generation and then hopefully keeping them involved as they grow older and progress up the ranks of the club and maybe, the county.
