Leithinis group host historic first AGM

Comhaltas Leithinis in Donabate has hosted its first Annual General Meeting and looked back on all it has achieved in fostering the Irish language and Irish culture on the peninsula in its short time in operation.

the organisation elected a new committee who are looking forward to building upon its strong position at present, wit over 100 members and 45 classes.

Classes currently in Tin Whistle, Fiddle, Bodhrán and Banjo on Monday nights in the Donabate and Portrane Community Centre and you can drop in there anytime for more information.

As it is coming close to Christmas why not buy a gift of classes with Leithinis for the new term starting in January 2020.

It's a hugely vibrant organisation which has grown in strength quickly and looks set to be a permanent fixture on the cultural landscape of the peninsula for many years to come.

If you have a grá for the language and Irish music and culture then this is the place for you to be where you will find lots of like-minded people and plenty of ceol agus craic.
