High achievers at Loreto Swords look to bright future

There was one last trip to school for some of the high achievers in the Leaving Certificate class of 2019 at Loreto in Swords last Thursday when they came back to be congratulated by the school on their achievements in the State exam.

The Fingal Independent cameras were there to capture it all as many of those who passed the dizzying heights of 500 points gathered at the Swords school for one final celebration before anxiously awaiting their first CAO offers, this week.

School principal, Peter McNamara said: 'Many of the girls received outstanding results and the school is so proud of their efforts.

'The options for the girls of 2o19 are now so wide and varied. So no student should be disheartened with their results. Every student's result should be a cause for joy and celebration as they have completed 5/6 years of work and have probably sat their hardest ever exam.

'They need to be congratulated on their achievements. 14 girls received over 500 points with two girls receiving 590 points.'

Well done to all of them for their magnificent academic achievements and here is hoping they get what they want in that opening round of CAO college offers which are happening this week.
