David wins Malahide Lions award for his Tidy Towns efforts
A Malahide Community School student has received Malahide Lions' 'Service to the Community Award' in recognition of his work for the local Tidy Towns effort.
Malahide Lions have forged a very strong connection with Malahide Community School with its Service to the Community Award.
The award is worth €1,000 each year, with €250 going to the winner and €750 to a nominated charity or community group..
This award is presented to the Transition Year student at the school who demonstrates hard work, commitment and a passion to improve their community life and to help those less fortunate than themselves.
Last year, the inaugural winner was Zara Hussey who did sterling work with The Arch Club in Portmarnock and this year's winner is David Conlon who continues to do excellent work with Malahide Tidy Towns. The Tidy Towms group also received €750 which will help progress their fantastic work in the community.
Malahide Community School has given pride of place to the Roll of Honour for the Lions Club award which hangs in the main entrance hall of the school.
