Barbara puts on Fairyhouse style
Rolestown lady, Barbara Payton Gleeson, was delighted to be chosen as runner up out of the top ten in The Dunboyne Castle Most Stylish Lady competition at Fairyhouse on Easter Monday, 22nd April.
Beating off stiff competition from a contingent of Ireland's most stylish ladies, Barbara and her fellow runner up finalist were announced in front of a huge crowd in the main marquee at the €500,000 Boylesports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse Racecourse.
Barbara wore an elegant coffee coloured 1960s inspired dress from Topshop, topped with a printed hazel coloured hat by Suzanne Ryan Millinery, with a classic small white clutch from Topshop and paired with gold glossy shoes from Savida, Dunnes Stores.
Barbara caught the eye of The Dunboyne Castle Most Stylish Lady competition judging panel, which included singer-songwriter, Una Healy, executive producer of Xpose, Debbie O'Donnell, and Gráinne Ross, managing director of Dunboyne Castle, who chose the most stylish lady top 10 based on their interpretation of this year's theme, Country Chic.
Commenting on the Dunboyne Castle Most Stylish Lady, Una Healy said: 'The judges and I had a really difficult decision choosing from the final ten ladies.
'The standard of style today was really high, and the good weather brought out some great colour and headpieces, which was great to see. Barbara's style really stood out as it embodied the country chic theme.'
As runner up, Barbara won a Spa day at Seoid Spa in Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa, to include a one hour treatment of her choice, access to the Thermal Suite and lunch in the Terrace Lounge.
An exciting day in the racing and style calendar, the €500,000 Boylesports Irish Grand National and Most Stylish Lady officially kicks off the racing and style season.
The historic Easter racing festival at Fairyhouse in County Meath attracts over 25,000 people over three days, and the Most Stylish Lady competition on Easter Monday is the main off-track attraction.
