Trip down memory lane

A wonderful musical afternoon was enjoyed by approximately 300 people at the Grand Hotel in Malahide recently as guests took a trip down memory lane.

Organised by the Forget-Me-Nots organisation, the New Moon Tea Dance was a wonderful success.

Forget-Me-Nots Organisation is a registered charity in) offering an inclusive community choir for older people, family, friends and neighbours and is especially welcoming to those affected by dementia and memory loss.

are drawn from the neighbourhood, the local HSE Day Care centres, the Alzheimer Society Social Clubs in the region, local residential nursing homes, and from the wider Dublin NorthEast community.

Performances included Eugene McCarthy and The Sugarcubes, Bríd Ní Ghruagáin, as well as our Forget-Me-Nots musical director Norah Walsh and Emmet O'Connor for the best of musical entertainment!

Thanks was extended to all the local businesses who supported the event and the Grand Hotel management and staff for a delicious high tea in the most elegant surroundings!

Thanks to all the individuals who donated raffle prizes and special gifts with a particular mention to Eileen Dunne, Bairbre Sweeney, Sally McAviney and Yvonne O'Neill. The event was attended by Mayor of Fingal Cllr Mary McCamley.
