There was style and glitz at Skerries Golf Club for its annual fashion show, that showcased local fashion and the modelling talent of club members.

Over 100 people attended the event and they were treated to a great night of entertainment, which raised much needed funds for the club.

Compere on the night was Catherine Noone and she did a fantastic job.

Guests were treated to a glass of bubbling prosecco on arrival and the Snack Bar was transformed into a mini pop-up shop.

Twelve models, all members of the club, strutted down the catwalk showcasing trends from local businesses such as Philannes; Chic Boutique; Frock Exchange; Shankeys for Men; Dorian Black; Pro Shop SGC; Carraig Donn; Dunne's Stores and Pamela Scott.

The models then joined guests in some retail therapy in the Snack Bar with local retailers selling their most popular fashion items. These retailers included Aoifes Coastal Creations; Design Works Photography; Karen Wilson Art; Molls Parlour; Seoidín; Goat in the Boat and Stella & Dot. The Best Dressed Lady competition was sponsored by The Frock Exchange and the winner was Olive Murtagh. Local florists Wisteria excelled themselves displaying their spectrum of beautiful flower which adorned the entrance of the club house and they also donated a fabulous bouquet for the raffle.

The Organising Committee comprising Ciara Boylan, Daire Hassett, Sheila Mc Gloughlin, Nuala McGrath and Emer Pyke were ably assisted on the night by Joanne Kinsella, Joan O'Brien & Lady Vice Captain Maire Keogh. Skerries Golf Club is also preparing for a Play in Pink to raise funds for breast cancer research, and has events planned for a Play in Pink Mixed Event on 26th May and a Ladies event on Tuesday 29th.
