Speak on Fingal culture strategy
As part of the Creative Ireland Programme, Fingal County Council is preparing the Fingal Culture and Creativity Strategy 2018 -2022 and wants to hear your views.
As part of the process, the council is inviting feedback on the draft strategy from members of the public, creative practitioners and organisations in Fingal.
The Creative Ireland Programme builds on the legacy of the 1916 Centenary Commemorations, which showed the power of cultural creativity for bringing communities together and strengthening identity.
According to Fingal County Council, the core aim of the Creative Ireland Programme is to 'improve the well-being of individuals and communities through increased participation in cultural activities and creativity'.
Highlighting the benefits of culture and creativity for individuals and communities, Fingal County Council Chief Executive, Paul Reid said: 'Fingal has one of the largest, fastest growing, most ethnically diverse and youngest populations in Ireland.
'Our unique community and culture are at the heart of this strategy which will provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds, across the county, to enhance their well-being through engaging with culture and creativity in the broadest sense.'
