Skerries 100 to roar into town

The feast of motorcycle road racing that is the Skerries 100 is now just around the corner and will roar into town this weekend.

Loughshinny Motor Cycle Supporters Club Limited are delighted to announce that Country Crest will be the title sponsor of the 73rd Skerries 100, run on Saturday and Sunday 6/7th July 2019.

Country Crest has been a loyal sponsor of the club for many years now, and once more the Hoey family business that is based in Rathmooney, Lusk have come on board to be the title sponsor.

Thomas Garry Loughshinny Club Chairman: 'It is a great honour for me to be Chairman of the club this year, and also to once more work alongside the brilliant sponsor that is Country Crest. Michael and Gabriel Hoey have been very loyal to the club for many years now, and they also work closely with other clubs and events in the local community. We also look at the continued support from our class race sponsors, and we look forward to seeing a top class entry in July.

'We are also delighted to announce that all of our races are sponsored, and this will help swell the prize fund, for what should be an exciting weekend of qualifying and racing over the iconic 2.9 mile seaside course.'

Michael Hoey of Country Crest is once more delighted to be involved with the Loughshinny Club, and Skerries.

He said: 'It has been a tough year for the club and the sport in general, but they have banded together and are once more committed to bringing the best road racers to Skerries.

'We as a company are committed to the local community, and the Skerries road races are one of the biggest sporting events in the county, and they are also great for the local business community.'
