An acclaimed Fingal-born actor and director is the main a new comedy mockumentary that is already piquing interest in the industry across Europe.
William Morgan, who hails from Kinsealy, will be shooting a pilot for a new comedy series in London in December.
The show is a mockumentray about Double Denim, a fictitious pop rock band from the 80's who have been asked to re-unite for a Legends of the 80's concert.
The Fingal man is the creator, writer and director of the show.
The cast includes Sean Power, who starred in the Jack Dee sitcom Lead Balloon, as well as Vincent Walsh who had a role in The Fall and Peter Vollebregt, who has previously appeared in Eastenders, The Royals, New Tricks)
'There has already been some interest from TV networks in both Denmark and Germany,' according to William, whose production company Wytao Films will produce the pilot episode.
Wytao Films was founded by Morgan and his long-time collaborator, writer Fergal O'Byrne.
Their most recent short films: Glass Ceiling, Bio and Eyes Wide Open, written by O'Byrne and directed by Morgan have picked up awards in Amsterdam, London, Canada and the US.
Morgan, Power and Vollebregt all appeared on stage together previously in the critically acclaimed stage production of 12 Angry Men.
Peter Vollebregt also appears in Morgan's latest short film, Eyes Wide Open, which is currently on the film festival circuit.
William has worked extensively in independent theatre for over 20 years as an actor, director and producer. He also co-produced several fringe festival productions and a critically acclaimed festival of New Works by Women Writers.
He has created many comic characters for radio and was a Grand Finalist at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival in both the BBC New Comedy Awards and Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny!?
He has also performed as a stand-up comic nationally and internationally.
