Seachtain na Gaeilge is coming to Fingal

Seachtain na Gaeilge is coming and there is just a month to wait before the county is taken over by events celebrating Irish language and culture and Fingal County Council want to know if you are organising an event.

Are you organising an event for Seachtain na Gaeilge 2020 in Fingal?

If you are, remember to check out www.snag.ie for advice and you can register your event on https://peig.ie/claraigh-imeacht/ selecting the category 'Seachtain na Gaeilge'.

Events registered in time will appear in the printed brochure. Fingal County Council will be putting together its own programme for Seachtain na Gaeilge, to include events organised by Fingal County Council and also by groups within the county.

Not all events are organised yet but there will be a Seachtain na Gaeilge Social evening at 6.45pm Tuesday March 10 in the Atrium, County Hall, Swords with Traditional Music from Paudie O'Connor, Aoife Ni Chaoimh and Caoimhín O Fearghail and musicians from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Átha Cliath and. Everyone welcome and light refreshments will be served.

There will be plenty of activities in Libraries and you can check those out in the Fingal Libraries Spring Brochure.

It promises to be a great week with all that is worth celebrating in the Irish language and culture and Fingal County Council is encouraging everybody in the county to get involved by organising or attending events.
