Project Fashion hits the runway to raise money for LauraLynn

The Project Fashion Young Designer of the Year Awards took place last week in the White Sands Hotel in Portmarnock.

This year the awards were held in aid of the Charity LauraLynn.

Project Fashion was founded in 2014 by Paul Alexander. Paul who received a BA in Fashion Design from Bristol University and has worked as a freelance designer in both the UK and Ireland for many high profile clients.

Paul then went on to set up his own brand Paul Alexander, which was showcased in House of Fraser and many high end retailers in the UK and Ireland. With a passion for fashion and to 'Create a launch pad to potential future Irish Fashion Designers' he wanted to pass on his wealth of knowledge and experience to the younger generation so Project Fashion was born.

During a Project Fashion class students learn how to use a sewing machine, cut patterns, make their own garments and gain the skills to move up through Project Fashions Grading System.

Paul and his business partner Paula have now just launched this year Project Fashions Young Fashion Designer of the Year Awards which will help support a great cause each year and in 2019 it will be in aid of LauraLynn.

The awards this year were presented by The VIP Style Awards Most Stylish Woman 2019 and 2fm radio host Jennifer Zamparelli. The judges on the night were Grace Moore - Fashion Stylist to our very own Saoirse Ronan and Hozier also Karen Kirbee - Founder of Kirbee.ie childrens wear and not forgetting to mention Leigh Tucker - Founder of Willow Kids Collection @ Dunnes Stores. There was a fantastic entertainment on the night including Ireland's Got Talent winners BSD from Swords and Eva Campbell, The Voice UK star from Skerries.
