The Seamus Ennis Arts Centre has landed a major coup this summer in bringing the legendary Moving Hearts to its outdoor 'Piper's Garden' this summer as it prepares for a new Garden Party series of gigs under the summer night skies starting this week.

Naul will be rocking to the sounds of Moving Hearts, the legendary Horslips and The Riptide Movement, among others when they play the Séamus Ennis Arts Centre this summer.

Moving Hearts and special guests open Garden Party 2019, a series of outdoor summer events, at The Piper's Garden, adjacent to the Séamus Ennis Arts Centre, on Friday, 21 June, at the start of the band's 2019 tour. Later in the summer, blues-rockers The Riptide Movement perform at Garden Party 2019 on Friday, 26 July.

Deirdre Roche, Director, Séamus Ennis Arts Centre said: 'We are delighted to present these major headline acts to Garden Party this summer. In this special year of the centenary of Séamus Ennis it is exciting to have a group of high-calibre musicians such as Moving Hearts to open this year's series.

'Garden Party offers entertaining nights out in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. We anticipate this year to prove equally as popular as last summer and look forward to more sell-out events.'

The line-up for Moving Hearts at Garden Party 2019 features many of Ireland's finest musicians. The band will include Donal Lunny (Bouzouki), Davy Spillane (Uilleann Pipes), Eoghan O'Neill (Bass), Keith Donald (Saxophones), Noel Eccles (Percussion), Anto Drennan (Guitar), Graham Henderson (Keyboards), Liam Bradley (Drums), and a number of special guests. It promises to be a special 'Almost Unplugged and Up-close and Personal' view of the band as it has never been seen before.

Renowned for their phenomenal live shows and soaring radio ready guitar rock, The Riptide Movement draw comparisons to U2, Kings of Leon and Arcade Fire, among others. With four studio albums to their name, this Dublin-based modern rock quartet is another unmissable gig at Garden Party 2019 this summer.

The legendary Horslips where recently confirmed as the closing act in this year's series of concerts, as the Naul venue landed another iconic Irish act for these very special nights under the summer sky at the Seamus Ennis Arts Centre.

The Garden Party Outdoor Cinema is a big attraction and this summer the programme features a number of film events. These include a family matinee screening of the animated comedy classic 'Shrek', on Saturday afternoon, July 13. Later that evening, The Piper's Garden will transform into The Double Deuce for the 30th anniversary screening of the cult movie 'Roadhouse', starring Patrick Swayze. It will be followed by a lively set of classic rock and blues from popular Dublin musicians The Donal Kirk Band.
