Andrew Tully, Computer Programming and Game Design instructor at Roslyn said: 'RosCon is a gaming and technology event run by students for students and visitors. It's an opportunity to showcase the many creative courses in the college, with students organising the event and creating all artwork and digital communications. We're all excited to see the creativity of the attendees' costumes.
'We will have expert guest speakers involved in the publishing/comic/game/software industries, competitions and prizes for gaming and costumes, and technology demonstrations.'
David Pollard, Training and Innovation Manager, Rehab Group, will be showcasing 3D printers; MakeyMakey (an electronic invention tool and toy); Raspberry Pi (a low-cost, credit-card sized computer) and a selection of drones at the event.
He said: 'This event is a student-led initiative, designed and organised by the students of Roslyn Park. It showcases the incredible potential of these students when they are empowered to follow their passions and given the opportunity to shine.'
