THE countdown is underway to the St Margarets Talent Contest Grand Final which is taking place this weekend.

The lucky 12 have now been selected after a competition that attracted the very best of local, amateur talent.

Battling it out in the Junior Section will be Emma Fitzsimons from Ard Na Greine; Lesley Roy from Balbriggan; Ciara Allen from Skerries; Grace Kelly and Elisha O’Neill from Cabra; Karl Murray from Finglas.

Competing in the Senior Section will be the following:

Siobhan Kavanagh from Co Mayo; Joe O’Sullivan from Beaumont; rock band Eclipse featuring Stephen Murphy, Andrew Grafton, Declan Gorman and Dermot O’Shea; Erin Noone from Dundalk; rock band The Influence featuring Aaran Page, Richard Corcoran, Sean O’Brien and Niall Currean; Ciara Ashmore from Clonshaugh; rock band Raven featuring Leonard Bird, Noel Kelly, Keith Rochford and Paddy O’Hanlon.

The final takes place in Forrest Little Golf Club on Sunday, November 3, starting at 7.30pm. Contestants are asked to register at 7pm at the latest.

As the show is being recorded live by Richie Walker from Nearfm 101.6, admission is strictly by ticket only. Tickets can be obtained from the committee and must be prepaid in advance. Admission is E10 per ticket or E25 for family of four.
