Eve Plantmarket in bloom

Eve Plantmarket, a vocational training centre offering training in horticulture and related disciplines and based in Blake's Cross in Lusk, has held a successful open day.

The students at the centre were eager to showcase their skills in retail selling, horticultural machinery demonstration and sowing seeds to name but a few.

Visitors got a great insight of the activities and the three programmes being delivered at the training centre, which include Employability Skills, Horticulture and Retail Practice.

Eve Plantmarket is a programme within the HSE which is aimed at adults who experience mental health difficulties.

The centre helps to give individuals a new sense of self-esteem, structure, new skills, opportunities and confidence. All programmes are QQI certified and run on behalf of Dublin Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board.

All courses are run on a continuous intake basis and adhere to stress free learning and recovery oriented practices.

Staff provide guidance and support and facilitate twelve weekly reviews on a one-to-one basis to work towards achieving individual goals towards the desired outcome of programme completion and certification. This process ensures that the learner is in full control of managing their own progress. Find out more by calling 018437351 or email plantmarket@eve.ie or find Eve Plantmarket on Facebook.
