Dunphy for panel at kettle's for Pieta fundraiser
Eamon Dunphy is coming to Rolestown on Wednesday February 27 for the annual charity preview night in aid of Pieta House at Kettle's Country House Hotel.
To paraphrase the man himself, it promises to be a great night, not a good night!
The colourful RTÉ pundit will be joined by champion jockey Davy Russell and wonder kid Jack Kennedy as part of an all-star panel.
Russell took the leading jockey prize at last year's Cheltenham Festival, while 18-year-old sensation Kennedy landed his first winner with Labaik.
On Wednesday, February 27 Russell and Kennedy will be in Kettle's Country House Hotel discussing all things Cheltenham with Dunphy.
The tenth annual Cheltenham Preview night in aid of Pieta House will also feature trainer and RTÉ pundit Andrew McNamara along with former champion tipster Brian Flanagan of the Irish Daily Star.
'Suicide has touched so many communities, it's great to support a cause like Pieta House,' said Russell.
He added: 'It's great to have Eamon on board this year, he's always a bit of craic! Although some of the soccer managers out there might not agree!
'Hopefully we will have a laugh and give the punters a few winners too.'
Last year's event was cancelled due to the heavy snow, but nearly E40,000 has been raised for the suicide crisis centre Pieta House over the years by the event and all proceeds from the night will once again be going to the charity again.
Admission is just €10 and that includes a free €5 matched bet and a free pint for every punter on the night.
Also appearing on the panel are Denis Kirwan from TV3 and Rob Catterson from Paddy Power.
It promises to be a night of colourful commentary and fascinating insight into the racing world, as well as a very good place to pick up a few great tips for the big festival, often dubbed 'The Olympics of Racing'.
There is also a raffle on the night with the chance to win some top prizes.
Tickets are available from Kettle's Country House and a limited number will be available on the door on the night.
Contact Kettle's Country House for further details and be there when the doors open at 7pm on February 27.
