'Dream role for Sophie began in Cloghran

'n Now she faces weeks in London working with new supergroup

'A DREAM that started at an audition in Swords has ended in triumph for one young girl who has landed a coveted spot in the next all-girl supergroup.

17-year-old Sophie Leniston, from Castleknock, earned her big break after strutting her stuff in front of the judges at the Streets Ahead Dance and Performing Arts School in Cloghran.

After making it through the first auditions, she made it through to the next round in London where she wowed the judges and was chosen as one of the five new band members.

The aim is to create a supergroup that will be a modern day mix of Spice Girls, the Pussycat Dolls, Girls Aloud and a touch of Atomic Kitten.

The band will be managed by Kim Glover who has has worked with high profile artists such as Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and New Kids on the Block.

Sophie will soon be moving to London for gruelling six week training schedule under the watchful eye of their new manager.

During this time they will be transformed into the supergroup, which means hours of rehearsals, singing, dancing, photo shoots, meeting the media, styling and make up lessons.

When ready to wow they will record a single, which will be due for release in 2008 with an independent record label.
