Fans of Fingal band, Delorentos can look forward to a new album from the group very soon. It's a busy time for the local band as they gear up for the release of a new album, early this year.

In December, the band released a single ahead of that new album release called 'In Darkness We Feel Our Way' which was recorded with Tommy McLaughlin and Richie Egan at the Attica Studios in Donegal.

New Year's Eve saw the boys play Whelan's, an iconic Dublin venue that will see the band return later in the year, in April, once the new album is released.

The New Year's Eve gig was something of an anniversary for the band as they played Whelan's on New Year's Eve, ten years before. The band said about that show ten years ago: 'We can still remember it. It feels both a million years ago and like yesterday, and it preceded an amazing and busy year, which we're thinking this year is going to be to.'

Of their new music, the Fingal band said: 'After having been away recording and writing for the past while we're looking forward to playing you new music. In Darkness We Feel Our Way is the first single from our new recordings and was released worldwide on December 1. We will be releasing a new album in early 2018 - in the meantime keep an eye on us for more.'

The Fingal band draws its members from Skerries, Portrane and Malahide.
