Arts Week lights up St Molaga's
Pupils at a Balbriggan national school let their imaginations do the talking as they took part in a wonderfully successful Arts Week at the school.
The youngsters from every class got the chance to display their wonderful creations at an art exhibition in the school hall.
During the week, different visitors popped into the school as a whole host of different activities were organised and the pupils had a great time.
One class studied the abstract artist Wassily Kandinsky, a Russian abstract artist from the 20th century.
One of the guests at the school was Redmond O'Toole, a professional guitarist who has played with the Chieftains.
The classical guitarist has played in some of the most famous concert halls all over the world
A teacher with the Royal Irish Academy of Music, he brought one of his students, Marina Kilmurray, who is from Balbriggan, along on the day.
Redmond brought an eight-string guitar and played some wonderful pieces for us!
All the classes in St. Molaga's SNS worked extremely hard on making artwork based on different artists.
Their work was displayed altogether in their very own art 'museum', otherwise known as the school hall!
