Ryan and Foley on All Stars shortlist
Two Wexford players, Liam Ryan and Pádraig Foley, have been shortlisted for the hurling All Stars.
Both players have enjoyed hugely impressive league and championship campaigns and are fully deserving of this recognition.
Meanwhile, Pádraig Fanning, one of Davy Fitzgerald's Wexford backroom team, has been unveiled as the new Senior hurling manager of his native county, Waterford.
Fanning has been a front runner since the decision of Derek McGrath to step aside, but it was only over the weekend that he was given the opportunity to return to his native county in a managerial capacity, having also previously worked with Fitzgerald in the Waterford set-up.
Fitzgerald has yet to announce a replacement to his backroom team.
In other news, there has been a disappointing response to the initial attempt to fill the position of County Secretary/Chief Executive, which closed for applications on September 7.
It's believed that there is an even divide of applicants from within the county and those from outside, with no more than twelve in total.
County Convention will be held on Wednesday, December 12, in the Riverside Park Hotel.
