Stage is set for Rathnure panto!

As is the case every year, with the countdown to Christmas comes the countdown to the much renowned Rathnure Panto. Now in it's 24th year, the panto continues to go from strength to strength and this year the cast and crew return with another fantastic production straight from the pen of John Reilly and Liam Sharkey.

'Broomstick: Tinkerbell's Christmas Adventure' tells the tale of the golden broomstick. A broomstick which now hangs in Broomstick College, a college where witches are no longer evil, and have even been taken off Santa's naughty list. When in the hands of good, the golden broomstick is all powerful and great, but it must not fall into the wrong hands. Only one who is good and pure can harness its powers.

Meanwhile, in Lapland, preparations are underway for the biggest night of the year. But, evil is afoot, and is Christmas about to be ruined forever?

With a cast of over 80 and the usual manic capers and colour that has come to be associated with the Rathnure Panto, you'll be left wondering how can Puss in Boots, six elves, a cow, a chicken, reindeer who think they're rabbits and a camel all fit in the one story! The show runs on December 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 27, 28 and 29 at 7.45 p.m. nightly with early evening shows on Sundays. To book your seats, call the box office on 0870687801 or 0876954112.
