Kiera's new songs get great reception
'THE ATMOSPHERE was electric,' said Kiera Byrne, below, who launched her new EP with a concert in The Amber Springs Hotel in Gorey last week.
Her new single 'Daddy' was a particular hit with the audience at the end of an evening packed with fine performances.
Among the performers at the launch were Melanie McCabe from The X Factor, Darragh McGann from Britain's Got Talent, Karen Dunbar, Chris Gethings, Joanne McCabe, Enniscorthy Choir, Anthony Rohio, and 5 Dollar Shakes.
More than 200 people were in attendance at the show.
'I was really shocked at how well it went,' said Kiera. 'People said the show was amazing. They loved the music, especially "Daddy", and they said it's such a powerful song.'
'It was such a special night. I didn't want it to end,' she added. The EP, which features three songs, is available in hard copy from Kiera, and for download on www.kierabyrne.com. It will also be available for download on iTunes from October after she records a video for 'Daddy.'
Kiera is looking for actors to appear in the video – a male and female in their mid-twenties; a girl in her late teens; a boy in his early teens; and two older women. Anyone interested can contact her through her Facebook page or her website.
She paid tribute to William Gilligan and Abe who did a fantastic job on sound and stage management. She also thanked The Amber Springs Hotel; her mother; her grandmother; Denise Brennan; Alice Burke; and all who helped before or during the show; as well as all who attended on the evening.
