Celebrity chef Edward Hayden was in flying form and cooked up a storm at a major fundraiser for Oulart the Ballagh Camogie Club at the Riverside Park Hotel last week. Around 250 people flocked to the hotel to pick up some hints and tips for entertaining this Christmas and the TV chef certainly didn't disappoint as he passed out some helpful hints and tips to the crowd, as well as keeping them thoroughly entertained for the night.

The camogie club does one major fundraiser each year and quite a bit of planning and preparation went into this one. As well as having the all-important demonstration, there were stalls which focused on everything from beauty and jewellery to food and flowers, giving those in attendance the ideal opportunity to do a little bit of Christmas shopping as they mingled.

'It was a really great night,' said Club PRO Pauline Moore. 'There was a great attendance and a really lovely atmosphere on the night. Then Edward put on a great show and had us all in stitches. It was great to see so many people out, particularly of a Tuesday night.'

The club are hoping that a significant amount has been raised from the evening and wished to thank everyone who came along, businesses who supported the venture and The Riverside Park Hotel for being wonderful hosts.
