International Women's Day was celebrated with a brilliant, diverse event in the Presentation Centre in Enniscorthy.

The organisers worked hard at ensuring many different aspects of women in society were represented on the day.

Artist, Amanda Doran, spoke of the opportunities available to women as an arts practitioner while a group representing the Travelling community highlighted cultural and heritage aspects of their sector of the community.

Members of the Shauna Walsh music and dance school also performed and the Delightful Dollies gave an excellent line-dancing demonstration.

There were also ballroom dancers and storytelling - which was based around a Moldovan legend - and members of the O'Brien School of Irish dance were also in attendance.

The event was organised by Sandra Walsh from Wexford Local Development and the night proved to be a great success.
