Students in Enniscorthy Vocational College have been rewarded for the hard work they put into completing this year's State Examinations.

A spokesperson for the school said Junior Certificate, Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied results were celebrated in the annual Academic Awards Ceremony held recently in the school.

'Awards were given to those students who achieved the highest grades at higher level in all subjects taken for Junior Certificate,' she said.

Three students, Eliza Conroy, Laura Dobrowolska and Ben Breslin, received a very special award for overall excellence in their junior certificate.

The three were presented with a HAPPIE (Hight Attainers Pursuing Progression in Education) award.

The school also welcomed back Leaving Certificate students, Austeja Balkute and Mateusz Diadek, to acknowledge them on achieving the best Leaving Certificate results in 2019.

Tommie Dempsey was also acknowledged for gaining the top marks of distinction in Leaving Certificate Applied.
