Vinegar Hill capacity under scrutiny
The increase in treatment capacity of the Vinegar Hill water treatment plant is being examined by Wexford County Council.
In a report presented to the members of Enniscorthy Municipal District Council at this month's meeting, Senior Executive Engineer, Tadhg O'Corcora, said the examination was taking place.
He also said in his report that a funding application has been made for 2.4m high fencing around the high level reservoir on the hill.
Commissioning Services Ltd (CSL) have been appointed for a coagulation automation programme at the hill's water treatment plant and work on commissioning a new coagulant sensor took place last year and ongoing monitoring is taking place. Acon Murphy has been appointed to carry out improvement for water treatment at the plant.
