A well known local singer-songwriter has showcased his caring nature by presenting a cheque for €1,505 to Wexford Mental Health.

Tony Woods, from Ferns, launched his EP, 'When Words Fail Me, Music Speaks', earlier this year in Gahan's Pub in Clohamon.

Delighted with the success of the CD he said he was glad to be able to raise money for such a worthy cause.

He presented the cheque to Samantha Hassey, from Wexford Mental Health, in Gahan's Pub.

On behalf of the organisation Ms Hassey said she was delighted to accept the money which will be put to good use.
